Four of them. They exist so people can disagree in public without it turning into something else.
Disagree as hard as you like. Say why someone is wrong, not what is wrong with them. Name calling, mockery and questioning somebody’s motives instead of their point will be removed.
Do not follow someone from thread to thread, do not pile on, and do not post anyone’s private information. If you have been asked to leave someone alone, leave them alone.
This is not a place to campaign for a candidate, a party or a ballot measure, or to fundraise for one. Argue for an idea on its merits. The contest is deliberately not partisan and the community has to stay that way.
One account per person, under a name you answer to. Do not post as somebody else, and do not claim a title or an office you do not hold.
Likes, replies and attention from a VIP supporter count for nothing in the contest. Judges score the speeches, and they do not see any of this. Being active here will not help you place, and never posting at all will not hurt you.
A first problem usually means the post comes down and somebody explains why. Repeating it means losing the ability to post. We would rather talk to you than remove you, but a room that will not remove anybody protects the wrong person.
Report anything that needs a look using the Report link under the post. Reports go to a moderator, not to the person you reported.
